Your pleasant quarters are in the long, low longère, once the tack room for the horses of the château (and the château was the hunting lodge of Diane de Poitiers).

It’s a one-storey building, one-room wide, airy and light.
You have the bedrooms on your right and the living area on your left: a blue sofabed before a small open fire (boosted by central heating on chilly days), blue curtains, a tablecloth on a round table. Walls are white, beams dark and low, a rug adds warmth to tiles, country furniture adds personality.
The kitchen, separated by a breakfast bar, is new and well-designed with matching blue and white crockery.
The double bedroom is a good size, with a large painted wardrobe (blue, of course): crisp and cool; the twin is a lot smaller.
Outside, the best of both worlds: the privacy of your own walled and fenced garden, with barbecue and games, and the lovely grounds, with tennis court to hire (the pool is for B&B guests only; a good public pool lies 10km away).
A peaceful place for a family to stay - and a well-priced restaurant in nearby Semblançay, recommended by Madame. B&B also.
